3.5 qts? It's actually 2.9 qts. Says so in the manual. I used exactly 3 qts and Redline MT90 when i changed mine.

yes you should need roughly 3-3.1 quarts...

in either event, you should just fill until the fluid meets the bottom of the fill plug hole, that will 3 quarts..

my mistake, for some reason i was able to get 3.3 in last time, so i just rounded to 3.5.

I would buy four quarts. Just have the extra for a time when you might need it.

took alittle more than 3 for mine last month.

I recommend GM Syncromesh, it's about $30 for 3 bottles. They make some of the worst transmissions, so they use great fluid.

its not gonna be cheap huh... oh and one more new question... when i brake real fast my car will pull up the "brake" light. the same light that pulls up when my car has the e-brake is up. is that just my car telling me i need more brake fluid?

possibly or brakes might be low, not sure, actually mine just started that too, fluid looked ok, but I guess under hard braking the level could be off enough. My pads were real low one time before and I didnt get that light so i don't think that is it.

i noticed it when my car is stoped on a hill too. thats what makes me think it might be fluid

probably, I'll top mine off and see if it goes away

I would use royal purple. Its good for LSD's plus in recent test royal purple improves engine reponse and even adds a couple of horses.

LOL.... me too.
Seriously. I could see it freeing things up and making the tranny more efficient, but I find it hard to see a gain even at the brakes.

that means that the brake fluid is low. which, in turn, means your brake pads are probably worn, which is causing the pistons to be pushed out further, using more fluid. so you can:
a) replace brake pads, then check level of fluid
b) add fluid, be ready for it to overflow when you do your pads.

make sense?
