Trading in my MSP for a MS3

I have decided to trade in my MSP for a 09 MS3.

To make a long story short I headed to my local speed dealer last wednesday to pick up my millenia s pcv valve that came in, on the way to the parts counter i was greeted by a salesman who was aksing me questions about my my car. I noticed in the showroom they had a 2010 MS3 on display then I started asking questions, when push came to shove I asked how much I would get for my MSP if i traded it in for a MS3. To my surprise the used car manager did an apraisel and came back with $9,000. In shock i immediatly started asking more questions on buying a MS3. After we crunched some numbers i decided to jump on the offer. Mazda is offereing $1,500 customer cash on all new 09 MS3's, so my trade was bumped up to 10,500$. On top of all that i got a price of $22,110 for a just delivered 0 mlies 09 MS3 GT. Im also puting $3,500 down so out the door i end up only owing a little over $9,500 on the car, then financed for 3 years at 2.9% puts me at $278 a month, which in my opinion is a stellar deal, especially due to the fact i only paid $5,300 for my msp a month ago. I officially pick up my new MS3 on wednesday and i cant wait.

Also you sure the 2010 model they had in the showroom was a speed3?? If so take pictures of it when you go back. I didn't think they were going to be at the dealers until fall..

I couldn't make occ due to some family stuff i had going on but i would have loved to check it out. it was a 2010 speed 3, it wasn't for sale though, it was a floating display thats going from dealer to dealer to market the car. The guy at the dealer i was talking with said they are getting their first shipment of 2010 MS3's in august.

I got it from Connecticuts Own Volvo/Mazda in Milford Ct., I think on the dealer inventory search there was only one GT package MS3 left in the state but it was in Danbury CT. I wanted to get a white one but there wasnt any left anywhere which is why they did this extensive search. Congrats on the new whip, you should come to our mazda meet, its every saturday at town fair tire on main street in bridgeport ct.

Did my first dyno today with the MS3 and it put down 233hp and 251fp/t with an afr's of 11.3-12.8 at 72% humidity and 71 degrees. so far i am very pleased with the new car, though i do miss the msp i still have my mp3 and in the next month or so when the build is done it should be putting down around 400whp so i guess its not that much of a loss trading in the msp.

I already ordered the corksport TBE, mazdaspeed CAI, Cobb turbo inlet, ********** HKS recirc kit and cobb ap for the ms3 so next week when it all comes in and gets installed we'll see what it puts down
