03 Toyota Rav4 L
Hi, I currently have an 03 Toyota Rav4, it hardly has any power, and the interior is nice but is lacking in the technology area. I plan on buying an Electric Blue GT FWD Cx-7 with Tech package, Sirius radio, and Preferred Equip package. MSRP is in the 31's. My dealers "rock bottom" price is $27,588.. and they are willing to give $12,500 on the trade-in.. i was wondering if any of you think this is a good deal? or if I should wait for the 08s.. my dealer said there would be no changes in them though..

Is it GT? FWD or AWD?

Thats a great deal with tech, I got a price for a GT with just the BOSE/Sunroof for 25K, I'm going to go pick one up soon.

i thought it was a good deal, i was shocked to see the price so low when i drove up, & we got them to come off 500 dollars.. i see no reason to buy an 08 if they have no upgrades..

There aren't any major changes besides the option to run on low octane fuel which will reduce power noticeably, they're will be a few more options see the PDF attached. 2008 CX-7 specs. And since its a 2008 model they won't give out discounts.

Thanks! :]
Wow, I have the exact same car, only in AWD, and I paid a little over $30K. Sounds like you're getting a great deal to me! Congratulations and welcome to CX-land. I almost bought the RAV-4 myself, but now I'm glad I didn't! The Mazda is too much fun (even if it is a little too thirsty).

The new Rav4's don't appeal to me (there bland), and they have no navigation options either.. I think i will be happy with the CX-7, and I should be getting it in the next week or so. I test drove it in the rain, because in my Rav4 when you take off in the rain, it peels out horribly.. and our roads don't help the fact either.

Sounds like a good deal...good luck to you. I agree the RAV 4 is very bland!
The CX7 will be way more fun to drive and that is what it's all about! Zoom,Zoom!

It drives like a beaut in the rain. And I love taking it on long-distance trips. You are going to have so much fun! When you pick it up, make sure the TSBs have been done (they will vary depending on when your car was made, but may include ECU flash, door seals, etc - I think there's a thread keeping track in this forum). Happy trails!
