traded in my Mazdaspeed for an SRT

Yes!! Can we not all, just love each other....?

These cars are all so very much alike; who really cares? We obviously bought the car, we wanted to buy. Well; except Buster. He just comes along when someone begins talking about the SRT-4 (again, again,,,,,,& again). And; so what if the SRT-4 has 'crank windows'. Maybe Chrysler went over budget, and couldn't afford power windows in the back. Do I think it's cheap? Oh yeah! I think it's bulls***. I don't drive one, so I lose no sleep over it. :wtf:

I think we all need a Love-In.

You keep believing that AGR. Yes I jump in on the SRT threads and a few others as well, but you don't bring that up as it is easier for you to try and tear me down by saying that I only post on SRT threads. Whatever keeps you feeling better, if thats what it takes.

Ok when I was looking to buy a new car, I was going between the MSP and the SRT-4. What made me go with the MSP over the SRT-4, well one late night I was driving home, sitting at an intersection I watched an older dodge caravan smash straight into a neon. The neon exploded apon impact and bust into flames. That in it's self was more than enough to settle me on the fact that the Neon is one giant POS and I won't even drive near them on the roads cause I wouldn't want one to explode next to me. Have fun, whoever bought the SRT-4, just becareful to not get into an accident cause your car will probably explode.

Buster....No! Don't take that the wrong way. We are cool! I didn't mean that as a bad thing. Sorry for the misinterpretation.

Thanks for clearing that up ARG...I thought this thread was about to spontaneously combust, and thus be tossed in the dumpster. It's all good now.

Damn it, Man!~!!!! It's AGR :D

I know,,,, And; for the longest time; there was some peace when the SRT-4 was mentioned (if only for a short time). I do not wish to be held responsible for another war!! (chair)

I'd be interested to see how the '04 SRT-4s perform. When I was at the Dodge dealer buying my new truck, they told me they sent back a bunch of '03s because of a recall. Aparently Dodge said that if their existing stock was not already sold, they had to go back to the factory. Aparently Dodge decided that an LSD was needed and will be releasing it on the '04 models.

Yes ARG you saved the thread what does ARG mean anyway?
Is it some kind of Naz-Kar Nic-name? I knew you (ARG) were a lover of circle track motor sports.
The mighty ARG slayer of all who threaten to drag threads down into the fiery pits of a flame war.

We agree on some things. We both have been around here for awhile now, and I think we both have some valid statements on sub-compact cars. Are you going to be making a purchase soon, or still checking things out?

To the best of my knowledge there has been no recall on SRT4's. The only reason why I could see them going back is if the factory is going to install LSD's.

True, true. I am going to see of the local Mazda dealer will let me test drive a MSP today. Dunno, they didn't seem to keen last time. I understand the need to keep them fresh for a buyer, but there is now way in hell I would buy a car w/o a test drive. I want to see of they offer a rebate here as well. When I talked to them before they said they could throw in some service for free but the price of the car is set. For the cost of a new MSP I can get a low mileage WRX, and say what you will, but the WRX is an incredible all round car. Wife and I were talking and we were going to decide by mid month but now we might wait until August. The next car is going to be around for 5+ yrs so I want to make sure I make the right decision for us, and the little one on the way. I also autoX my car so I want something that can do it all.

That's crazy! I completely agree. I drove 2 MSPs at two different dealers before making my purchase. A person should always be allowed to test drive a car, before considering the purchase!

Not being allowed to test drive cars is becoming a dealer fad recently. Several people have complain about not being able to with the MSPs even after having the credit approval. Roomate went to test drive a SRT but they wouldn't let it even approvals. Sad really. Dealers seem so hooked on the "ohh its limited or hard to get" and won't let people take them out. But the test drive is probably one of the biggest selling points of any cars. You can look over figures all you want but they can't expect someone to buy one without driving it.
It only took 2miles with my P5 before I wanted it. Could gone and gotten a SVT but like the feel of the P5 more. Same true for the MSP, its the ride that sells alot of people.

When I test drove the SpecV, they practilly threw the keys at me to drive it. Have you guys had any more problems with the clunk or hesitation, BTW??

No bump nor miss

I have neither clunk nor hesitation and at 10-12 PSI the car runs much better. I have never really had either problem.

yeah i had a similar problem last week when i heard this weird clunking noise. turns out it was the neon in front of me falling apart. the only hesitation i experianced was when i had second thoughts about driving through it rather than around it
