Well ran her tonight and could only get a 15.7 at like 89 mph so I know I can do a lot better. It was my first time to the track too. Another guy was up there with a black MSP ran a 14.6 and a 14.7 I think. He had a MBC set at 12 psi and a custome intake. Not too shaby. I'm hoping I'll be there soon.

Well

That sucks for 12 pounds and an intake.
Motor Trend did 14.9 stock and Kwiktsi did 14.5 on 10lbs and just a K&N.

I pulled a 15.1@90 on the first motor and a 15.2@90 on the second motor so far.I only have run two times with the new motor though.

nice joe, here's a status update on my car since I haven't posted in so long, found out the insurance was gonna be too high on the MSP so I was hunting around for other insurance companies, started having some issues with my car, so I pulled out on the buyer since it was noticeable stuff. Took it to my mechanic, bottom line was that he thinks my motor is going to blow soon, so I thought damn that sucks, then the next day I get in an accident. So right now the car is in the shop and the grand total of fixing stuff is going up and up and up, right now its at 1250 and they haven't even begun to look at my engine problems. So it's looking like no MSP for me for a loooong while :(

Joe-nice, what mods, how much PSI?

*Exact* mods list-

- 3" exhaust and free flow cat off the stock cast short "downpipe" $503
- 11 psi-my MBC sells for $45
- My FP reduction kit $25
- stock airbox with no filter for those runs- I figured with the talk of the K&N and heat from the fans, I would give it a shot.. $free
- removed weather strip from the cowl to let the hot air out of the engine bay. $free
- my fcd to prevent fuel cut (still in the r&d stage)- $tbd

I was running 116 race fuel, but it was not needed at 11 psi- I was hoping to run more boost, but it fuel cut at about 14-15 psi.

Nothing more, nothing less- if you break it down by cost for the rest of you guys, it is under $650 or so with the FCD estimated in there. How's that for bang for the buck :)??

I am going to be picking up a colder set of plugs to see if I can get 13 psi or so on pump gas without detonation (detonates after 10.5-11 on the stock plugs). My goal has been around 14.1 at 12-13 psi on pump gas and 13.7 or so at 15-16 psi on race fuel. After last night though, I think I can go 13's on pump with a decent launch and good weather. Drag radials would have gotten me about a 13.6-13.7 last night, but I don't want to launch the trans.
