TPMS light came on

So the light went off couple times. I checked the pressure and the right front tire is low. Did this twice before I brought it to a tire shop. The tech put the tire/wheel into a bucket of water and discovered the air was leaking from the stem.

Here's my question. Do I need to replace the whole TPMS or can I just replace the valve/stem?? It sounded like they want me to replace to whole thing but I think there's a repair kit to this?

Let me know! Thanks

Actually the tech told me there's a pin hole somewhere around the stem & sensor area. The rebuild kit didn't work so they have to replace the sensor. Ouch they charge $129. But he did hook me up with discounts on tire rotations/balance and alignment.

You guys should get it from Finishline. They are much cheaper.

Is this a warranty item? I'm losing a pound a week from one of my tires. I'm guessing it's coming from the stem being such a slow leak.

keystone automotive is buying tpms sensors in bulk and will sell cheap, and I have seen Napa auto parts making tpms sensors these days as well. ebay=win. likely the same part used on other mazdas as well.
