I've searched for this but couldn't find a definite answer -- will the TPMS fit in the 6UL rims? And does anyone know the part # for the sensors so I can be sure to get the right ones off ebay?

Thanks!

I have TPMS sensors installed in my 6UL's and TPMS sensors are 100% compatible with the 6UL's. The cheapest price I could find were these sensors I bought off of ebay and they work like a charm...

Redi sensor is part #7001

Wow! Those are expensive! I did find some OE ones for $127 a set, but I might just try and get my original ones swapped and sell the stock alloys without them...

On another thought -- do I need hubcentric rings with the 6ULs?

I ended up getting a set of OE ones off ebay for $129 shipped -- hopefully they're legit!
Thanks everyone!

Another strategy is to take the stems from your OEM Mazda wheels, and put them on your 6ULs. I did that with my Assetto Garas and it worked perfectly.

Yeah, I was going to do that -- but since they are inside the old tires I got quoted $25 a wheel to swap them over, and this way I have a complete set of spares or wheels/tires ready to sell for pretty much the same cost.

No... You do not need hubcentric rings. I don't run hubcentric rings with my 6UL's. However, when you install your aftermarket wheels the lug nuts MUST be torqued down with a torque wrench to 85-90ftlbs while the wheels are still off the ground. After your first drive with the new wheels installed re-torque your lug nuts with the car on the ground and again after about 500 miles of driving.

Also your stock lug nuts may not work with 6UL's and it is highly recommended that you install new light weight lug nuts as these will allow you to get better torque on the lug nuts and more turns of the lug nuts. 949racing offers sets of their lightweight lug nuts in many colors which is what I went with.

Cool ~ thanks Tom. I sorta figured I didn't since 949 doesn't offer them, but thought I'd better check. They never answered my email to them asking about it. I ordered the wheels and lug nuts from them and will torque as you say. Can't wait for them to get here!
