Tow hitch on P5?

Has anyone mounted a tow hitch to their Protege 5? I am starting a small business where I need to tow a 500 lb. cart. The manual states that the vehicle should not be used for towing but I'd prefer to not sell my Protege and buy another.

I don't have a hitch on mine but there are a couple around my area that have them and seen one last summer towing a trailer with an ATV.

Both Hidden Hitch and Drawtite make hitches for the P5. You will also need to get a wiring kit for the trailer.

I had one installed on my P5 and pulled small trailer and motor boat. No issues. I used the hiddenhitch.

I see a lot of them driving with trailer and atv or seadoos over here. I am thinking of getting one installed for myself.

ive got a hide away hitch. it was a breeze to install and i towed my motorcycle 2k miles with no problems.

I have a hitch on mine. I pull over 1000 pounds with no problems. It is barely noticable.

Hidden hitch on mine. I've only used it for the bike rack, but it installed pretty easily and it's very subtle with the Hidden Hitch cover on it.
