Hey guys, i work at a TOUCH FREE automaticr carwash it does and underbody, 2 coats of soap, a rinse and a spot-free rinse and a dry,(no sponges or antying touch my car, just water and soap) think that will do damage to my paint? ive seen some real nice cars go through, but would like your opinions cause the last thing i want to do is wreck my paint! its so orange and pretty :)

There is absouletly nothing to worry about!
I have gone through those touchless car washes about 5 times since i owned my car. I haven't even washed the car myself yet! (lol) NEVER have i had problems. The high pressure wash is REALLY high pressure as i can feel it hit against the car, but hey, that's the only way the dirt will come off!

Overall, it does a decent job. I'd rate those touch less car wash 8.5/10. Soft cloth works better IMO, as they actually touch the car to 'wipe' the dirt off. But i don't feel comfortable going through one at the moment. Ever look closy at those cloth? they are soo dirty!

2 coats of soap? No way!, i only see my car get one application.
Those dryer at the end of the car wash is soo powerful! I think they blow at over 200km/h wind.

nothig to worry about accept maybe for the 17" Racingharts that are in the roller that pull your car in. I'm currently on steelies with 65 series tires, so i have nothing to worry about. I don't think i'll go into a touchless car wash when i have the RH's on this early spring.

If i worked at those touch free automatic car wash, i'd drive my car in there EVERYDAY!

Btw, can you do that since you work there? I mean, do you get free washes? I just got my car washed today through a touchless wash.

Shell touchless have nice rails that don't hurt the wheels. I've taken my MP3 through on the RacingHarts and 215 tires no problems yet. I also went through a Sunoco wash today and the rail there was a little scarier but I didn't hear any scraping.. ! hehe

You should try to find the car washes that they put in the quarter wash placees. The one by my house gives all the benefits of touchless, but in this one you drive in, stop, and the mechanism travels around you. No worries about your rims, sincee there are NO rails!

It works great, ,too. Complete wash - $6.

hey guys! thanks for the input, yes i do work there, i can wash my car whenever i want for free, i washed my old car 4 times a week in the winter and about twice a week in the summer... Its called Prime Rose Carwash its right on rt. 110 next to the Westford Regency, and the Bamboo Restaraunt.. it gives u a underwash with soap, 2 coats of soap, then a high pressure rinse, then a clearcoat polish, then another high pressure, then a coat of 'spot free rinse' the water undergoes R.O ( reverse osmosis) which leaves it lookin pretty, then a P.O.S dryer, but you get a towel from me :) and dry the rest, MSP owners get free washed tuesdays 2-5 thursday 2-5 and sundays 8-5 compliments of me :) only if u see a ornage msp in the parking lot, or else if u say "free wash for MSP's" ill get in trouble! my boss is a dick  thanks guys! hope to see some msp's

(lol) imagine your boss reads this...
Man, i pay almost $8 each time to get a wash in Toronto. I wish you worked where i like to take my car at, because i go there so often. Maybe i should get a job there too....i'd drive my car through there 4 times a week too!

Is there really a differences if i buy b/t a basic wash compared with those Super wash with Wax this wax that?

Ha, i know a code for certain car washes that gives me a free wash everytime! haha. I guess it only works for the same kind of carwashes, like the same manufacurer programed it in. Luckily one is right down the street from me.:D

Umm there is a difference, at the wash i work at there is a 10/9/8/7$ washes.. 10 give u EVERYTHING (underbody, soaps, rinse, wax, spotfree, dry) the 9$ (the best one IMO) includes everything except the wax and the 8 is the same as the 9 without the underbody, and 7 is the 8 without the dry.. CONFUSED? hehe...

What's the code? Is it at an ESSO station? because i know of this place that you have to enter the code in order for the garage door to open then you drive it a begins the wash.

The code that you input, is it the best wash?
i never knew that you could fool the system like that...
how did you know about it?

there used to be a code at the one I work at, that shared a barcode with a gift card at Best-Buy, but they recently upgraded the system.. so that doesnt work, but also, sometimes if i listen carefully i can here someones code who has a credit account, so i give that number out at school.. one time we had the bill up to like 6K haha...

The code that i Know has only worked at 2 carwashes that i've found. That was at a BP, and a ghetto Phillips 66. i tried the codes at other places but those are the only places i can find. it is the old type of brush carwashes, not the touchless ones. If you are willing to go through one of those w/ your brand new car, the code is 92155. Good luck, hope you can find a car wash that'll work for you
