It's a british show about high performance cars done with a bit of humor. It's an excellent show.

BBC America is showing it. They just showed the one with the Hampster's crash last week. It was the season premier, but of which season, I don't know.

Season 9. The best episode from that season is where they go to Florida and buy cars for $1000 in the ghetto and drive them to Louisiana. They almost get killed by rednecks in Alabama. What a classic episode (cabpatch)

Arctic Special is sweet too. They race a Toyota truck to the north pole against a dog sled team. First people in the world to drive a car to the North Pole. They must have a huge budget for that show. Building a rocket with 3 boosters to try to make a Reliant Robin space shuttle.

Good review of the R8 and the Porsche. Though the amphibious cars are always entertaining, there's part of me that wishes there were more car reviews.

I think on the Top Gear site they have a lot more car reviews, if I remember correctly...

They only started doing these challenges the past two seasons. Check back on shows three seasons ago and older and you'll notice that they're full of races and reviews.

I still like the show though. I just wish there was less "cocking about" and more reviews. The first episode this season was more what I like.

NO probs man... Yeah the Hampster's crash was Season 9. I loved the Audi R8 review as well... The challenges have always been a part of Top Gear, but they got really heavy on them in Season 8. Last season was all challenges because they couldn't do many car reviews due to Richard's accident.

BBC America lags behind by 1 season and doesn't include things such as the "news" and sometimes does not show the "Star in the Reasonably Priced Car" so they can still show commercials.

Eh, I usually skip the star in a reasonably priced car if I don't know the actor/actress/popular person or I'll just skip to the lap just to see how normal people drive, lol. It was also fun to see captain slow use the Race prepped Aston Martin from last week.

I loved the Audi R8 review as well...

I really liked Hammond's entrance in the review, though not as good as his entrance via C-130 (7:05 mark) in the muscle car challenge in the first show of the fifth season. That will always be my favorite.

New season rocks...Never thought I'd be laughing so much...plus they still manage to get some amazing automotive related footage in there...all in all...a good time!

I must say though that the latest season of Fifth Gear is pretty good compared to the crap they produced in the past.
