Top Gear Cancelled

i just rather watch something that is more attainable than watching some guy drive a ferrari or lambo.

That's not the point, though. Top Gear is pornography for car lovers. It's supposed to simply be pretty, excite you, and leave you only slightly fulfilled it in the end.

You obviously haven't watched enough of that show. It's more than just super car test drives. And do you really want to watch a show where they test drive a civic or a corolla? Why the hell would I want to live vicariously through them if they're just driving econoboxes like I do. I can walk down to a dealership and test drive all the attainable cars I want, I don't need a show for that.

I love watching camrys, malibus, and echoes being tested around a track. I mean who would rather see supercars and extreme performance vehicles when you could see family cars and suvs?

personally, the yugo cv is the most exhilirating ride i need to see tested

British Top Gear is by far 100 times better then the version they have here. It is just catored to the american, they dont speak there mind like they do in the other version, and i enjoy downloading it a lot better, then watching it on the discovery channel. And they mostly showed just North America's cars. I could care either way. Whenever the US gets a hold of something good, it gets bad fast. So I am actually glad this is happening

I just got this from discovery channel:

"Thank you for contacting Discovery Channel. We appreciate you taking the
time to share your thoughts and concerns with us regarding Top Gear.
Your comments will be forwarded to our program management and executives
and will be taken into consideration.

The "Top Gear" show was not "taken off the air" but rather ran its pattern.
It is being revamped for a U.S. audience and will return later this year.
Look for it in December.

Ok, make fun of rednecks with mullets all you like. But you have to admit that Stacy is a total BADASS when it comes to custom work.

I take it by that response you have NEVER watched the show.

I think he was refering to things like Acura RL, G35, Mustangs, Porshse Bosxster, AUdi TT, BMW 3 series, Chrysler SRT projects, scions, RSX, Subaru WRX, LAncer EVo, RX-8, Mazdaspeed 6, Miata, ect.

I for one could not give a s*** less about half of the british made cars they constanly had on that show. The majority of which we will never see and wouldn't buy if we did. Lets not pretend it was all Astons and Nobles.

I just got the same reply too!

Personally, if they do bring it back, I think they should show it Monday nights along with American Chopper and Monster Garage. Get rid of Monster House or put it on another night, and please for the love of god don't put American Hot Rod back on Monday nights. I just want to light Boyd's mustache on fire everytime I watch that show.

I hope it comes back. It was a different type of show, and had more substance than the American car shows.

You clowns just don't understand Top Gear because it's not all flashy lights and techo music. Really, that's ok cause the US edited version sucked and I download the BBC originals anyway.

Top Gear is a show for true car fans. They don't do tips or how-tos or any of that crap. They take cars out, film them beautifully, and speak the truth about their performance.

They have had the Mustang, Boxter, Audi TT, Chrysler Crossfire, WRX, Evo, RX-8, and Miata on the show.
