Tools

I'm a sucker for a good deal on tools, like the mastercraft ones at canadian tire. They always have some kinda crazy sale, like 60% off a socket set or impact gun. Some say its better to have it and not need it than need it and not have it :D

Anything from Costco is usually good for warranties. That store will take anything back as long as you keep your reciept. My Optima battery flat lined after 2 years and they gave me a full refund. They have a Crescent 130 piece tool set right now for $49.99.

this is what i have lol

hasnt failed yet.

How's the quality of these tools? I was thinking of grabbing this set.

its pretty legit so far. theres both standard and metric. the finish on the tools is nice, and they feel sturdy in your hand.
for 50 bucks you cant really go wrong.

Well, i think it's been covered so I won't also say craftsmen…

My most favorite tool of all time, though is the wobble extension. It's damn near perfect when you need just a little bit of angle on your ratchet. The universal joints can be difficult to keep straight and you usually have to keep your hands around the joint to do so. Wobble extensions... awesome.

got the Craftsman 155 mech set for $99 on sale and love it. Also got different lengths of pipe for leverage where and when needed.

I won a socket set from Sharper image. It's free so I don't care if it breaks as long as i have a back up. I've picked up a few cheapy things at autozone at 10pm on a saturday night blitz to get something put back together. and I have been raiding my parent's house. My dad is a wicked pack rat. He's had tools in his basement that haven't seen the light of day in 16 years. Angle grinders, hack saws, wrenches, industrial wire strippers, it's like christmas every time I go down there.

hehe i started on getting a toolset together too xD all i need right now is wrenches and sockets then i'm good for the normal stuffs. (just the right size for my little trunk LOL)

ya guys gotta be careful about the cheap tools ya get cause there is lead in some of the cheap steels. i even saw some at k-mart(in the craftsman section..not craftsman though) with labels saying that it contains lead. too much lead is bad xP

I use mostly snap-on tools. I have a few sets of craftmen wrneches since i never really use them. Power tools and air tools are a mix of Dewalt, bosch, and Portercable.
