took some pics this weekend...

I love it when people add in vulgar vocabulary in un-necessary places, it makes me giggle.

But seriously, nice pics. I have a Canon 20D but I dont know how to use it.

I have the rebel XTI and I am finally learning how to use it! soooooo many buttons!

Very nice! Makes me want the Cosmic on my car, favorite Mazda color ever.

I love the CB more and more every day!

no... do mazda guys show up for that? I've been there before and it was mostly domestic stuff.

we had a mazda meet about 20 car's showed up it was a nice meet. check out the s.florida thread or the s. florida dinner meet thread once a month we are trying to a dinner meet.

Car is nice. Pictures are....okay at best. Since you obviously are wanting to take photography more seriously (judging by your camera purchase and attempt at HDR) I'll give you some criticisms.

Picture #1:
Good job at getting the car in the center of the picture, however the car is out of focus.

Picture #2:
Not bad, Focus is a lot better however the picture is dark. Colors could be shown off a lot better.

Picture #3:
You cut off a majority of the car. I know what you were going for, but try to accent only one part of the car. If you're trying to accent the headlight, then the headlight should be the majority of the picture. I'm not a fan of these shots.

Picture #4 and #5.
These are way too dark. You can barely see the car. Try a longer exposure next time.

Picture #6.
This is a little better, but again, try longer exposure.

Picture #7.
This is pretty good. Not really HDR, but good pic regardless.

Picture #8 and #9.
These are also pretty good. Again, not really HDR. Watch out for your horizons. Try and keep them level. Both of these pictures are essentially crooked, and would look a lot better with a straight horizon.

ooo I might be interested in that!

Thanks, but I didn't ask.

Anyway, I'll humor you and respond to the critiques you so generously gave me.

1. The HDR program I have creates blurry pictures. I haven't as of yet figured out a way to combat this issue.

2. Again, just learning how to use the HDR program.

3. I don't care about your personal preference.

4 & 5. Those were 30 second exposures with the focal length at full blast. I love the way these turned out.

6. Again, 30 second shutter speed. What more do you want? The picture is way brighter than it was in the parking lot.

7. What do you mean not HDR? I took 3 bracketed pictures and combined them in an HDR program.

8 & 9. Also HDR. Also, there is something wrong with my tripod, because it is not level when the bubble says it is. I'm working on a fix.

All in all, I now think you're a jerk and don't care about what you have to say. If I wanted photo critiques I would have posted these in the photography section with a title like "hey guys I am trying out HDR and stuff, any tips would be appreciated!" or something the like.

+1 Just appreciate the nice photos and don't try to make it out like you are the only one who knows the perfect way to take a picture, just makes you out to be an ass.

But thanks sleeper3 for reminding me on what I have to look forward to when summer comes!

when summer comes, I get to sweat. a lot.

Didn't mean to come off as an ass, was just trying to give you helpful photography tips.

Here is one certainty: If you post anything on the internet, you get ridiculed for it.

you're adding to that.

Wow, who's the jerk?

I happen to agree with pretty much everything Moultese said in his friendly critique...

Oh, and btw:

Maybe I'm mistaken, but isn't this you at the end of the first post asking what everyone thinks??

What do you guys thinkkkkkk?

(dunno)

It's a forum where people welcome constructive criticism and don't like to be babied with only positive and dumbed down responses.

It wouldn't surprise me if a lot of [FJ] members were on here. I know I grew to love the MS3 because of FJ and it's focus ties. Closest thing we got to an RS :D
