Too late to boost?

Exactly my problem. I should have boosted as soon as I learned that our engine really hates NA mods. Maybe Mazda just designed stuff pretty well or something, but it seems like you can't get anything out of this motor without forced induction.

What are your mods? Hopefully not too much since only a cat back will really be able to stay on the car.

You can boost on a budget, you just have to be realistic about your parts and your goals for the car.

Contact one of the vendors to figure out what you can do if you are serious. I am a Mental Addiction guy of course, but you get the idea.

45 k is not that high, it all depends on your tune (ems) and psi. honestly a 10k motor will blow just as quick as a 45k motor if you push it too much and try to run too much psi w/o tuning for it!

i have 23000, i have been boosting for abt 12k, now i need my new motor but that is because i am running wayyyyyy to much boost!!

Hehe depends on what you consider "not too much".

UDP, FS-ZE intake cam, cold air intake, header, MAM midpipe, racing beat cat-back, MP3 ECU.

I know that most of it will have to go. I still have my P5 ECU, FS-DE intake cam, and stock crank pulley.

Unless I get a good job for the summer I definitely won't be able to get a MAM or HiBoost kit new. I would love to though just to be giving money to the vendors that give our cars aftermarket support, but if the money isn't there I can't do much about that.

joka, are you really running 21 psi on the stock motor?
If so, thats pretty awesome it lasted 12k :D

How fast are we talking?.....

There are a couple levels of boost you can get your car to.
1. Full out - see my mods below - pretty damn fast
2. Medium - Built block, piggyback EMS, 7 to 15 psi
3. Mild - stock block, 5 to 7 psi.

Heh so where would my car go?

damn is it still not blown? you have some freak of nature block there.

Zverg - intake, header, and ecu will have to go.

Maybe you can find a sleeper kit for sale, or even a HiBoost kit for sale around here.

It is worth it.

I would of thought that 21psi = BOOM the first time the boost hits.

no abt 2 months of 21 psi, abt 15000 miles of 15 psi on a stock motor. so i have abt 800 miles at 21 psi. car runs great at boost, no fuel cut!! but i have issues!! i have a bad top end clatter now (probally a valve) my rings are shot! i will see how long it lasts until i rebuild.

**either a fully built fs-de or........ somthing diffrent w/ more cylinders!!! (or rotors)

i am trying to decide what my future holds!!

I don't care about the intake (it's eBay), the header I can probably sell on here, and of course as the MP3 ECU is such a hot item I already have a buyer for it.
