JPaul, have you done the map update or had anything added to the car? I did do the map update (& now I'm wondering if I shouldn't have).

I updated everything over the weekend! Hmm.

I think JPaulAtkinson is mistaken.
Try TYPING an ADDRESS as a destination while driving. It's impossible since the NB1 was released. Recent update relaxed SOME of the safety lock, but TYPING an address is still locked out to this day.

Back to my original question then - has anyone tried a temporary disable switch for the GPS antennae (so the unit can't tell that it's moving) to overcome the safety lockout for typing?

Well, I didn't try THAT! I have just touched a few different buttons (only have driven alone, so far).
