You can disable the auto zoom in both 2D and 3D

I haven't had that problem.
MY problems with the Tomtom are:-

1. Cannot touch a POI to see more details of that POI (ie name of place, phone no etc) as you can do with most other GPS systems
2. Cannot change the zoom level and have it stick (it reverts back to the normal position after a few seconds).
3. I would like to see altitude on the display

Just updated maps and firmware now I can't enter address through voice command while driving. Anyone else have this issue?

My tomtom has started acting up again. Pull up at an intersection and the speed drops down to 0 kms but after that it starts displaying random speed between 1 - 2 km and the map starts rotating by itself. I did all the updates available and tried it again but it did not fix the issue. Anyone else having this issue?

That's probably an issue with bad reception. Most likely caused by a poor connection to the antenna.

I have emailed Mazda about it and am waiting for them to get back to me.

So I called Tom Tom today and the CSR said that the quick fix GPS update needs to be uninstalled from the SD card and re-installed which should fix the problem. I will try this once I get home today.

yeah the latest update looks like it might have addressed the 'just driving to whatever it thinks you said' problem, it actually prompted me with a list of options when i said 'drive to airport'

which update (version) fixed this problem?

honestly no idea, but once you've updated to what ever is most recent that should already be in there...

Seems like going from 10.813 to 10.816 added confirmation about navigating to a common POI or nearest POI via voice command while in motion. At least for now, it seems like the "not ending route after acknowledging reaching destination" issue is resolved, too.

i really wish that when it presented the list of pois in the list it showed some of the address rather than just the name and how far away it is
