TO THE DYNO ROBIN "Batman Qoute"

Well there is the MSP LSDs weight to consider as we MP3ers are 1 wheel drive :D.

well back to 3rd vs. 4th...
i still dont get it...to me it seems that 4th is still better its only .03 of from 1:1 but 3rd is like .3 off so its hell of alota diff.
i personaly whould rather do it in 4th sens it is the closest to 1:1 and whould give u more of an acurate reading.
dont the MP3 and MP5 and MSP all have the same trannys exept the LSD in the MSP?

when i go to the dyno in my MP5 ill do it in 4th to get more acurate readings. 1.3:1 is just not acurate enoughf for me.

by perfworks
boost you did the run in the right gear. you want it under 1:1.
third gear is your best gear. 4rth is on the "overdrive side"
even if its only .03 off the 1:1 ratio

Snow there is your answer right there. Plus, if its a guy who has been running dynos for the past umpteenthousand years, why would you question it ? Seems to me HE would be more of an expert at HIS dyno. :D you could even contact him at his website http://www.speednation.com/ and ask him why it was a 3rd gear pull, and why the RSX-S was a 4th gear pull. (the RSX-S is a 6 speed)

you should not do your pull in a loaded gear. anything under than 1:1 is a load in the drivetrain

Besides, don't you put your gear ratio into the dyno so it can correct numbers for you or no?
