I don't know about the rest of you but I think the number of forums is getting a little out of hand and I have noticed several things posted in the wrong forums that don't get moved.

Just my thoughts:p

actually I think we are FINALLY geting deversified like the board SHOULD be....so that you don't have to wade through a lot of unrelated threads to find the stuff you are interested in....

as far as the threads not getting moved...well seems if you find something....and it hasn't been moved by one of the moderators of that forum....MAYBE they didn't notice it....send one of the mods a friendly PM and let them know so that they can get it moved....its ALL of our jobs to keep the board clean and orderly.....the mods may have the POWER to do the moving, but we should ALL help them out....they can't be everywhere all the time.

to go with nukes post...

sometimes i see things that need to be moved, but they aren't in my forum, and i don't want to bug anyone to move them, then i forget about it till the next time i see that thread. anyhow, i like the number of forums, people can have there own sections to congregate in.

OK
well heres my consept any ways.
Since all of the new proteges are the same basicly theirs no need for different forums for each. If anything lets count in some of the older Proteges, Instead of a MP3 forum, a Protege forum a p5 forum and a Mazdaspeed forum which is basicly dead now. I would swap to Generations gen 1, 2, 3. I would also drop rotaries since they have plenty of support elsewhere and have little to do with our cars. the How to sections seems cool but I think it would be better in the FAQ of its respective forums.
Flamewares and off topic seems to be a repeditive list. Just stuff you want to talk about with no other place for it. 1 forum would be sufficient.

Short list
kill:
Mazdaspeed MP3, RSX, both rotaries

merge: Off topic, rumors, and flamewares(I see the idea but don't realy like it).
reset the Protege, P5 and MP3 forums to generation. Or even make only generations in the tech portion and move the new combined forum of Off topic, rumors, and flamewares to the General section.

I didn't een relize until try to restructure the board in my head that their was a forum just to post ideas for the site. I'll repost this there as a new thread so its in place but I have been n the board since basicly day 1 and I can't even keep track of all these forums half the time I spend 20 minutes looking for a post I posted in and I have to eventualy try to hunt it down through multiple forums becuase its location simply doesn't make sense.

Well like em or hate those are my ideas, keep up the good work
later.

Sir Nuke...well said...and I agree....

1st MP3 in NH...I appreciate your interest in improving the board...I do think maybe some forums like rumors and flamewars etc can maybe merge...The idea on our board is not do Generic protege forums...the idea is have forums for specific models while containing everything on one board making us one BIG FAMILY but we also offer areas for the mp3'ers, p5'ers, protege'ers, MS'ers, rotary'ers to hang..sort of like we all live in the same house but we have our own rooms...lol...its late...does that make any sense? :(

I'm always open to hearing suggestions, comments, ideas etc...just trying to make this a site everyone can enjoy... :D

About the Mazdaspeed forum...its not dead...I think its doing pretty well considering the car isn't even on the market yet! I look forward to new MS members...remember, the MS is not your enemy...but an addition to the family. ;)

The same goes for me. The only people who can move things from any forum are the admins....moderators only have control over their little slice of the world.

I think the number of forums is at a pretty good level actually. It gives a nice separation of different types of topics. As for finding new posts that are posted to, I rarely actually click on the forum name anymore anyhow...I just use the "new posts" button which instantly shows what all the active topics of the day are....very handy feature.

My problem with the seperate protege forums is mostly in regardsto the 2.0L and the P5 forum, there is essentialy no difference between these cars, the only reason the MP3 is different is becuase it has so many production issues with the transmission ans suspensions.
Another major problem is why with all these new forums to include other cars why the hell is their no other Protege forum for older cars. This is how I feel it should be layed out.

Oh, that hurts mommy when you say things like that! ;)

Actually I thought the rotary forums were just getting off to a good start. :)

I had to edit myself there...
