So i know jmac made a custom ecu housing in the other thread on intakes.

this allowed him to move it to the side next to the battery and take the plastic off his engine.

i was with a friend taking hard drives out of his old desktops and now i have cd drive like pic related.

cept the door is a flap.

i was thinking and wondering if it would be possible to use this (once emptied and cleaned to be the shell) as a housing?

anyone think of any problems?

the flap could be taken off or cut to allow the ends to stick out.

i just had this and some cooling fans and i wanted to see if i cud put them to use lol

I really wouldn't. That metal is so thin.
Great idea but I'd rather use a thick part that I know wont give way.

Shame as I'd love to get hold of something similar to JMAC's

since i have blue hoses i nice candy blue color might be a nice touch. tho carbon fiber (the color/pattern if not the actual thing cost wise) would be cool.

Subbing, really interested in the JMAC box!

Engine bay looks silly with that huge plastic thing on top of my powerful (LOL!) 1.5!

Been getting excited every time this gets bumped.
Any news Jmac? Gonna have to put my alloys on hold till I know a price.

Deleted Jmacs contact info. He is not a vendor on this site and cannot conduct business like this. I understand there is a want here, but rules are rules.

Sorry to be a sour puss... but jmac has been warned before. I think I have been fair.

Sorry to resurrect a dead thread, but I'm still really interested in getting rid of that hideous mound of black plastic on top of my engine without screwing up the ecu. I guess this jmac fellow has been banned, but are there ANY other solutions to this issue? Seriously, this plastic needs to go, it's disgusting.
