To all you yellow P5s...

How do you guys feel about the attention that u receive.. are you ever nervous about parking the car or anything? my friend says that the P5's yellow craves to keyed and smashed up:eek:

lol

Maybe so in Delta and other places, not in Richmond, I just saw 3 yellow ones pulled into one intersection, very very sad, I don't get attention here anymore, had to travel to seattle or west van to get the attention my zoom zoom deserves.:D

ya i hear ya

when i had my P5 in december i was that shizzzznit
everyone was looking.

now august comes around and everyone has a silver P5
EVERYONE
i passed 4 on the highway in 30 mins one time

I have had my car a little over a year and still get stares everywhere I go. It wasn't so bad when I first got the car, it was expected. But a year later? There aren't that many around in my area, but still. My fiancee doesn't like it anymore so she stares and points back at those that do the same to us.

As for keying and vandalism, I make sure I park in safe places. I don't mind walking so I park out away from people in parking lots so I don't have to deal with people walking around the car or not giving a $h!t about other peoples stuff. I also turn my stereo down real low when I pull into a parking lot so it is harder for people to realize I have a system.

I have had mine a year and i get alot of stares, and i:m not woried about keying and vandalism.because I have to mory about old people and birds it's almost like they can't see my car because of the yellow , it must not be in their color spectrum

Alot of what you guys are saying I can empathize with. I bought my car out at school on the western side of Illinois (the Quad Cities if anyone knows where that is at) and people out there own nothing but Ford trucks. I can count at least two accidents I caused where the looking driver rear ended the car in front of him or drove off the road because they were not looking at the road and looking at me :)

I always park my car as close to the building I am at as I can. I had to write-up one of my employees at work for a poilicy violation, and that very same day I found a wad of gum smacked against my car and my door handles were keyed with a series of X X X...coinidence? After we caught him stealing it didn't matter anymore :)

I parked next to a yellow S2000 one day and the older lady who was driving it told me I had a nice car. I laughed and said, "oh no, YOU have a nice car, and fast!" She smiled and said that she thought mine went plenty fast - and after I get that turbo it will.

Where is Sir Nuke on this post? He owns a yellow Pro5 does he not?

Here I be....yep....I get a lot of attention around here.....mine is one of only two in the county....and there are only 8 p-5's in the county as well....and my wife and I have two of them...its rare that you see another one on the road...but every once in a while you do....its been months since I saw the other yellow one....

I personally love the attention....its a good ice breaker....and it gets plenty of smiles from the ladies too. :{D

as far as the keying and smashies? I do the same thing that Captain does....IF I park in a lot for any reason....I park away from the crowdes.

(stash)

I love my car, and I love the looks, and I love the attention...

I enjoy just counting the heads turn as I go through and intersection or pass by. Thats why I purchased the car, cause I loved the look, and I loved the color. Infact, I think I get a little miffed when people DONT check it out!

Ah, as far as a parking lot and all, I park wherever. Since I am in and out of stores and malls all day long with my job, I just park wherever I find a spot. Since I have to carry a couple of duffle bags loaded with PS2 goodies, I do try to park as close as possible. Also, my dumb ass forgets things that I need to bring to the store, so I find myself always running out to the car...So its a matter of convenience for me....But I wouldn't go as far as saying simply owning one asks to be keyed, vandalized, etc...

Being a boss who just fired someone (even if they deserve it) opens yourself up to vandalism if they know what kind of car you drive, driving like a prick, stealing a parking spot from someone who has been waiting for it before you, all that opens yourself up to mean people....I just gotta worry about the damn XBOX rep gettin jealous of me...My job, my company, my car...If they find out what kinda car I got, they might try to hijack me or something...

I knew the second I saw the car that it was an attention getter. For that fact, I have begun to drive more cautious than ever (so the cops dont bother me)...

But I just had to say how much I love my car!
