Tmic

Im not planning on doing anymore mods then I have already done. At least until my warranty expires. Everything I have is bolt on so I can uninstall it if necessary. So far Ive got CAI, BPV, rear motor mount, shifter bushings, magnaflow catback. Was thinking about my last mod being a new TMIC. I know FMIC / SMIC are better in the long run if you plan on messing with boost / more hardcore mods etc. Basically what I have listed is all im going to do. I guess my question is: Is the TMIC worth it ? Will it make a difference or should i not bother? Also i read somewhere that the rear motor mount causes problems with the TMIC (rubbing i guess. . .) anyone know anything about this??

The ETS 3.25" TMIC will add 3 lbs of boost in the manifold due to less pressure loss in the core and will not have clearance problems. The 3.5" has the problems...

If you don't have some form of boost control other than OEM, the max boost will remain the same, but the TMIC will allow the turbo to hit the OEM max boost target at a lower turbo rpm, adding life to your turbo and a quicker spool-up to target boost. You will feel a SOTP difference I'm sure. YMMV

As far as the rubbing goes, I believe that the 3.5 (maybe even the 3.25) need the stiffer mount to not damage the intake on the hood.

Also, from what I've heard from numerous people, the ETS is hit or miss in quality. TRZ has a TMIC coming out soon that is supposed to be top-notch.

TRZ . . . newb question

I have heard TRZ is coming out with a new TMIC. What does TRZ stand for ?? I saw TRZmotorsports.com . . . does not seem like the right place though. Only saw muscle car parts.

this does not warrant a new thread...merged with your TMIC thread.
