Ok my dunlops are about to go out in like, I would say 5-7K miles, any suggestions for tires that would last? I'm on a college budget now so I need some help. Its my daily driven car so it will be goin through dre(of course), Light and Heavy rain, snow and ice. I was lookin at some yokohamas, but give me some suggestions....

I am college kid too. I got a set of Nitto Neo Gens for about $110 each. Not a bad tire, not going to last 70K, but definately sticks to the road.

go to the good year dealer and pick up a set fo cooper mastercraft avenger zhps i love mine, and they dont wear at all but yet have amazing dry and wet traction, and unlike the dunlops they have lateral traction.

well i got an introductory special price when they first came out, the zeon zhps are kick ass too, mine were $102 a tire and he said they run $140 a tire normal and $170 for the zeons. and they are Z rated :)

I have 215/45/17 sumitomo hrtz IIs, I like them and they come with 11/32" tread. 220 tread wear, AA traction, A heat rating. They do great in the rain and they are sticky. The only downside I have found is they create a little more road noise than the dunlops.

Yep, I'm placing my order as soon as I get back from my business trip *cough* in Palm Beach *cough*

Do NOT even try the Falken Azenis in the sleet or snow (pow)

Yeah I think I'll be buying those tires next year. They look great and since I auto X those should be bad ass. Not to mention, $99. That's a pretty good price. Course here's the kicker I found. I ordered Kumho Ecsta's in the spring. They were $87 a piece on tirerack.com or something around there. But to get em mounted places were going to charge atleast $20 a wheel. So I found a place that would order and mount them for $99 a wheel. Might be better off ordering them from the place you're going to have mount them. Just trying to help.

I got $98 Yoko Prada Spec 2's. I love them!! No problems at all and they're awesome even in rain. I haven't experienced them in snow but I can't imagine any low profile tires being very good. But they grip well and run smooth.

After my Dunlops went in about 15,000 miles, i got a set of GoodYear Eagle F1's, 215/40/zr17, one size up. They handle awesome but don't wear for s***. I was gonna look into the Parada V-Specs, I can get them from a buddy for $80 a tire in the same size, but I have not made a decison yet. My Recommendation is that Falken is one of the better tires for the money. I had 2 sets of Ziex Fe-502 on my '00 Eclipse, they worked out pretty well.

yeah the Khumo Ecsta Supra 712s were cheap and good to me. but all these mainly summer tires arent really gonna help u in the snow and such. sometimes u have to pick one or the other or get a cheap pair of all season if u can find them in the right size.

so far all i have been hearing negative respones reguarding the Nitto NT 450 Extreme Performance tires. So far, i've been looking at some Yokahama Advan tires. I'm lookin at either the AVS ES100 or the Parada Spec-2s.
