If you're even remotely thinking about changing your wheels, now is the time to consider doing it.
There just aren't many great tires to pick from if you're staying with the OEM size of 195/50-16 - What few there are cost a bunch more than they should, because of the wierd size.
I put a set of very lightweight 15 inch BBS rims from an '88/'91 RX-7 convertible on my P5, and there are TONS of great choices in tires for 15 inch wheels.
I went with a set of Bridgestones in 205/55-15, so as to keep the revolutions per mile the same. I've got a little more rubber on the road than I used to with a tire the same circumference as the stockers, it rides much better because of the 55 series sidewalls and the 4 pounds per corner I shed by getting rid of the very heavy OEM alloys really perked up the handling as well.
I won't even mention that I got a set of 4 tires for about the same price as 2 of the OEM Dunlops would have cost me - Mine are still hanging on the wall of the garage.
