Tires for 195/50R16 - Kumho SPT or Dunlop 901?

Hey guys!

I've been doing quite a bit of research and here is my dilemma:
Kumho ECSTA SPT or Dunlop FM901?

I've read reviews about them and I'd like to know if the SPT don't
corner well enough that I'll be dissapointed and if the 901 would
be too noisy... I want to stick with 195/50R16 and under $90 per tire.

Any advice would be greatly read...

Tony

I got the SPT's and they handle awesome... the ride is a lil bit stiffer n harsher than the stock dunlops but not 2 bad... sooooo much better in the rain tho... couldn't go back if u paid me 2

Answer to original post

I'm the original owner of the post and I opted for the Kumho SPT.

Here is what I think from the stock Dunlop 5000M:

. the rubber is softer and gets quite hot during driving, which makes
me think they won't last long, on the other side they grip better
to the road

. they are quiet tires, may be even a bit more than the stock

. their response is a bit slower than the stock, due to the compound
being tender, but they still handle very well

. since they are softer tires, it means the ride is a bit more comfortable
when the road is uneven

. I haven't riden them in rain, but just looking at the structure I can
tell that they can withstand more water than the stock ones or the
FM901

Overall I'm very happy. I paid $397 for all four installed at Discount Tires,
after saving some money by having them directly delivered from TireRack
to Discount Tires. The FM901 would have been $34 less.
