Im sure this question has been asked many times before so I appologize for the redundancy.

What tire sizes fit on factory offset? I have an 08.5 with H&R springs and was wondering if 235/45/R18's will fit without hitting the spring perch?

Thanks for the help. If anyone was wondering, im looking into Nittos. Right now with my mods, I dont have any traction in 1st, 2nd, or most of 3rd gear. Trying to find a decent tire that wont fold over during AutoX. And maybe, help with 1/4 mile traction too. I still want comfort and longevity too so if anyone has any thoughts, im all ears.

My opinion......so wider does not add much forward traction vs compound.
I would not look to wider rubber on the factory rims to gain traction because it won't give you much, but it may screw up the steering response.

I would look for stickier 215/45/18 tires and I would only go wider if you have wider rims.
I have my eyes on Nitto NT05 and a couple others for next spring. The NT05 look like the best grip for the dollar but they will wear quickly because of it.

Also looking at Hankook Ventus RS-3 assuming I can get even them in the size I want. I haven't found any pricing on these yet either.
Possibly the Hankook Ventus V12 Evo which are not nearly as sticky but still pretty great for the $$.

No mods on my car presently but the OEM Bridgestones were shot at 18K miles and I have snow tires for winter too.
The V12 Evo would probably be best for me considering the climate here and the way I drive the car, but I have not decided.

At that size and stock wheels your will run in to rubbing issues, I would say with H&R and you want to stick to stock wheels to go with 225/40 and you should get more then enough rubber on the road and no issues of rubbing.

225/40 works but understand that's smaller dia than stock and your speedo will be off. Same for 235/40 but that's closer to stock outside dia and not quite as far off. 235/40 would be fine on an 8" wide rim, but not stock. Comfort and longevity and better traction? Ok so the factory rubber is pretty soft and sticky, hence the ultra low wear rating. They are pretty good tires actually, but noisy when they wear down and once they are worn, they totally suck.
You can't have your cake and eat it too. Soft sticky tires wear faster - that's it. Longer lasting tires don't grip as well because they're harder.....which is why they wear more slowly.
I still vote NT05.
