Tire / Rim Sizing

Is it just me or does the CX-5 look like it missed "leg day at the gym" with the skinny rims/tires that come on it? If I want a look more similar to the BMW X5 tire size/width, please advise what I would be looking for. I've never upgraded rims and tires before, so I'm familiar with some of the sizing, but not all the details. Tire size I would be looking for is the 275 wide on 20" rims, so please advise what size rims fit that width of tire?

If I decide to keep the CX-5 I might even drop to 17" 235/65 as the 19s ride is harsh compared to the 16" on the 5 I had.

20"x10" with 40mm offset with 275/40/20 is largest fitment on a CX-5 according to a forum member TampaMS3, found here- http://www.mazdas247.com/forum/showthread.php?123817319-Show-me-your-wheels

Btw, I think some MPG must be lost due to more rolling resistance, I would imagine. I'm sure it's one reason Mazda fitted those skinny legs ;)

Thank you Skorpio, please tell me what is the offset? So 20" rims by 10" wide, got that part. Now to find some sick rims. I'm thinking in the mean time to plasti dip my rims, as it will take me a couple months to not only save up for the rims and tires but find the exact ones I like.

spare tire question

What causes 'air bubbles' around my 2014.5 Mazda cx-5 spare tire rim? Only had the car since January. Car is garage kept, only 600 miles on it. Is this another "no problem found" by Mazda?

Dealer replaced the spare tire with another one, and confessed he had never seen that before in any car! Keep an eye on your spare, it might need to be replaced?
