Tire replacement==what did you use?

You should all do yourselves a favour and purchase the Falken ZE-512's. these are the highest rated performance all season tires. made in Japan, and have awesome pricing. U just need to get it in the 205/45R16 sizing, virtually no difference in overall diameter, only 3/10 of an inch.

check them out, even Consumer Reports rated them number 1. and they tested them against 18 others.

Yeah, that's what I'm going to get the next time :)

I thought they have 205/50R16?

Falken's

I just put the Falkens on both my grrlfrens Civic Si and my P5,...(205/50/16's, they look great, slightly fatter looking, minimal increase in overall tire height,approx1%)),...they are great in the dry, excellent in the wet AND snow. (I thought the original Dunlops where down right dangerous in the wet/snow.)
They won the Consumers Report test for AllseasonHighPerf tires and are the cheapest replacement tire for this car in Canada,...Hello.

Go with 205/50-16 for an OEM wheel application IMHO. The increased load rating is well deserved. I feel that the OEM tire V-speed rating designation is due to the (insufficient) volume of the OEM tire. Big car + little tire = HEAT. The tire speed ratings are about heat too, not just durometer.

$70 + shipping each from me

Wow. Bump for a great price! Too bad I don't need tires yet. I've got 23K miles on the stock Dumb-lops and still have pretty decent thread left. Maybe after this winter... but definitely hook me up next time! :)

haha this price only good for november. tire prices change monthly for me, but pm me when the time comes and ill will have other monthly specials.

new tires

Hey,

I replaced those Dunlops with :

B.F Goodrich Radial T/A's 205/50-16

Say what you will, but I did not notice any handling difference. The difference in the rain is remarkable! Not one bit of hydroplaning even in the worst of downpours. And they are wearing a whole lot better after 7,000 miles than those Dunlops ever could hope to. Plus, they look awesome! They really beefed up the look of the car. Got the whole set out the door for around $330.00. Yea, that might be a little much for all-season, but my piece o' mind and the longevity is worth it!

Try the Falken Azenis 205-55 ($75-80) or 215-45 ($95-100). These tires are awesome at a great price. Stiff sidewalls, good tread pattern, and best of all affordable. Only down sides are road noise and sometimes hard to get. I've gotten 30k miles out of mine.

lol i could go lower but i dont want this to become a selling contest since my business is performance parts not tires.
I generally sell to local people. Generally it would be cheaper to buy from your local tire store because they will **** you on mounting and balancing tires you bought elsewhere. also its easier to redeem your mileage warranty at a local tire depot. you cant easily verify mileage via online tire purchases.
I recommend toyo proxes 4 or nitto neo gens over falken 512s anyway. falkens are good for the price, but their quality deteriorates quickly once the tread wears. if you want a really good performance tire for the $$ invest in some s03s or kumho mx. linux had falkens on his mp3 and one blew out going over a bumpy railroad crossing. they have bad sidewalls that are really soft. hit a city titty and a bubble pops out.

Would u reccomend the Falken Ziex?
I would like a quiter, and better performing tire for the rain and snow....I'm not too happy with the stock Dunlops...

I like the Dunlop SP9000's better than the Falken Ziex 512's for rain. The Dunlops were just better for rain. I now have the Yokohama AVS ES-100's. These tires kick ass!
