Tire Questions

Just Today I picked up my Patinum GT, non-tech with Moonroof/Bose package. So far, so good. I thought I was getting a Bridgestone shod car, as all the examples on the dealer lot that were GTs were so equipped. Mine came in on dealer trade because they didn't have exactly what I wanted. I didn't notice until later that my car has Goodyears. Now, I guess it doesn't really matter too much as the sizes are all the same across models, but what gives? Anyone got a clue on this, let me know. I read the forums but didn't see anything. Thanks for the help.

Either tire comes "standard" All the early advertising pics showed the Goodyears. Seems like later in the production run more Bridgestones started showing up.

On Tirerack.com, the Goodyears sell for $172 per, but Bridgestone sells for $148 per. Is Goodyear RS-A better than Bridgestone?

im pretty sure i read a comparo on some tires, including the RS-A's and comparable BFG's...now, to remember where i saw it....................................................................................................................................................................................................
hmmmm....might have been deeper into TireRack.com, but its hard to say, as i've been relelentlessly shopping and comapring new tires to fit on my soon-to-arrive new 20" wheels :):):):)

either way, that price is insane for the RS-A's....Goodyear practically gouges at their name-brand shops...

Sorry, I posted this thread in the wrong forum. I am new to it and wasn't paying attention. Mods, I understand if you move it. Anyway, after a day of driving (about 70 miles here and there with a mix city highway) I like the Goodyears very much.

I got the goodyears on mine in June when it was delivered. I've done 6200 miles in all conditions (except snow, ice, or real mud). I'm satisfied.

Wet driving is nice, even in heavy rains. Stopping grip is excellent. Lateral stability is nice and predictable.

I want wider tires later on, but I'll get my money's worth out of these first.
