I got to about 13K before the fronts got to 2/32 of an inch. That includes driving them in the winter on snow. How the hell do they wear that fast in the winter on snow and ice? I replaced them before this winter.
They sucked in the winter and were scary/funny to drive in the rain. You could feel (hydroplane on) every puddle (even the ones you couldn't see), and it pulled all over the place.
The only thing they were good on was dry, clean, hot blacktop. Could easily tell a different in cold conditions. They sucked on gravel, sand, etc.
They also left black marks on the edges of my rear doors. Guessing it's rubber that builds up there from the wind currents around the car. My new tires don't do that at all. I've never seen a tire do that before.
Now I got some Yokohama V4s tires on my car. Much better in everything. Slightly less max traction, but the tires drive about the same any condition (dry, wet, cold, hot), except snow and ice. They are ok on ice and snow, but given the cars weight, I'd suggest a narrower tire. Unfortunately, you won't find many for the rim/diameter size you are trying to match. I'll probably get a set of 15 inch steal rims with some blizzacks for next winter.
