Tire Fitment Question

ok, i have a 02 DX and i have the steelies they currently still have the bridgestone 195/55/15 tires on them. i'd like to mount a set of falken azenis on them in one of two sizes:

205/55/15
205/50/15

will either size of the tire fit properly on the rim? will i have to worry about them rolling off the lip during hard cornering?

How wide are the steelies? If they're 6.5", no worries. If they're only 6", there might be cause for concern.

I'm not familiar enough with the Falkens to know if they're a wider tire. Remember, 205 can be different from manufacturer to manufacturer.

hmm...are the p5 rims 6.5" wide? equinox is running 205's
i'll check mine tomorrow, when it stops raining.

there would be no problem mounting any of those tires on the rims i work at discount tire so i do this stuff all the time

i would actually suggest getting the 5 spoke rage wheels for about $50 and putting falkens on those because steels weigh too much... the rage 5 spokes are cheap and light.. and falkens are heavy tires also so there is a lot of rotating mass with falkens and steels....

but thats just a suggestion

thanks for the suggestion, but i'm not gonna be driving the pro for too much longer...so i don't want to drop anymore money than i have to to get these tires. i'm trying to hook up a deal with a mx3 owner in houston for his rims, we'll see.
