can someone pleese explain to me how tire codes work.

My tires:
205...width in millimeters. This number represents the overall width of the tread
40...percent of the width. This number represents the heighth of the sidewall
ZR...speed rating. For the "z" rated tire, that's 149mph and up.
17...rim diameter
