tinting bumper turn signals ???

I saw P5(red) in Union City. CA the other day and the buper turn signals were tinted. Can someone tell me how to do it or where i can buy it. Is it legal in Cali?

Thanks,

Alex.

Jus grab some "nite shades" spray or something similar. Take em off and give them a light coat. I'd personally leave them and get clear running lights for the bumper.

i popped em off and use smoke tint spray and sprayed a couple coats on...and popped em back in...

Link worked for me. Maybe yours are different in Canada but in the U.S., those are just side markers that stay on. They're not turn signals here. I have another set of side markers closer to the door that are my turn signals. They came on after the 2002.5's came out. The ones pictured in your link just stays yellow on mine and I hate it. I want clear ones but can't seem to find it. Anyone know if the clear ones can be found anywhere? If not, I'll just have to wait.

I think the bumper lights on the 3rd gen RX-7 are the same. I have not verified this but myself and the guy that runs a rotary shop here were looking at them both and they looks exactly the same. You'll probably have more luck looking for them listed under RX-7s.

on my 2002(.5?) Pro5, it also has the orange turn signals on the front corners... I have a few questions.

1. How difficult is it to pop those things off?

2. How would one go about removing the orange colour and spraying on some tint?

3. What sort of legalities are involved in doing this? Will cops nab me for having improper turn signals? FYI, I live in Alberta, Canada.

Thanks!

Its funny how you guys are worried about painting them...s*** i want to just take them off and have a body shop finish off the bumper..i totally hate them and i think the bumper would look a million times cleaner without them..Just take a look at the AutoExe equippied White Sport20...Looks great without the amber lights

in a perfect world, yes, I think that it would look cleaner without them. However, I don't want to be ticketed into finally getting them put back on (or changed back to original colour). I just want to know if it's cool with the cops!! :)

I prefer to wait for the aftermarket clear corner lights for the P5. I ain't smoking anything on this car.

I have heard it said that the clear markers from the 00 and up celicas will work with a little modification to the mounting hole. i think you have to open it up a tad bit more.

civic, accord, tiburon, spectra, neon, cavalier, rx7, millenia, 323, altima, maxima, sentra, skyline, sylvia, prelude, and a thousand others will also fit with modification... thats obvious.. ANYTHING can fit on ANYTHING with the right modification....

for example.. at my buddies shop... we have a civic with 94 prelude head and tail lights... a sylvia s15 front bumper, custom fabricated sideskirts, a rear bumper from a corolla kit, custom brake cooling vents through the rear doors and cut through the frame... plus more that im too lazy to mention..

the thing is.. these guys are asking for something that will fit straight up..

(and dont be dumb and get all literal on me guys!! :) i know the Anything on Anything comment isnt completely true... you couldnt fit a big block in a 91 civic hatch ;) but you got the jist of what i meant)

The RX-7 is a direct fit from what I've seen. I had my P5 sitting next to a 3rd gen RX-7 and the mechanic and I both agreed it was the same part. Anyone think of comparind part numbers of the two yet to see if it is indeed the same?

as long as the backing fits the contours of the bumper you would be all right. the celica ones just look like they would be closest to o.e.

And btw i had a buddy with a 89 celica that had a 406 in it. thats close to putting a big block in a civic.
