Is that on the inside or outside...cause if it is on the outside, why would they of broken it if they are tinting from the inside???

Its on the outside! I don't know how they could have broken it, but they definitely did. It is messily glued back on and pretty much coming unglued.

I would say sue sue sue, Ill represent you...lol....nah but that blows dude, my dealer put some curb rash on my wheel and said it came to them like that, I clean my wheels on the weekends and I only touch this car so I know I didnt do it, but what can you do, go back and tell them to replace it, its not gonna be an expensive part, but you better not wait on it, cuz they'll say it came like that if you sit on it for a few days

Remember though, keep your cool and be logical. Just make sure they understand that you will rent space in the daily local paper to advertise the horrible job they did and thier lack of accountability and then stick to your guns. Reputation is everything in an industry like that. Also, find out if they are members of the BBB. They will help you out BIG TIME!

Yeah, that is the problem, it did take me a long time to notice it. I have been to the tint shop twice so I am not sure which time it happened. I picked up my car brand new from the dealership on September 29th. I took it to the tint shop for the first time on October 1st. I went back to get it fixed October 9th, and I just now noticed it today the 21st.

Wow took you a long time to notice, I'm sorry to tell you this but you are pretty much screwd as of right now, on the bright side it probably wont cost you that much for the part, but yeah I've had numerous amount of accidents with different shops for different cars I've owned, they will never admit to it no matter what you say or how right you are, it sucks being in that situation, but save urself the headache and just buy the part, just dont take it back to them god only knows what else they'll break, freakin idiots idunno how they did that, but trust me ur gonna waste gas going there, any compaint I've had with dealerships and shops ******* things up have gotten me no where, they will never take the blame

Thanks for that advice. I really hope it doesn't come to that!

Well I don't know. This is a pretty small tint shop and I don't think they could handle any damage to their reputation. My car has never been in any shop or any place beside their tint shop and my garage. If we had to take them to small claims court, we would do it. I know it wouldn't be financially worth it, but its the principle of the thing. I really don't think they would want to go there. (It sucks that its on the passenger side of the car, if it was on the driver's side I would have noticed much sooner)

BBB does nothing dude, my friends mom took her older jetta to the volkswages dealer for an oil change an that told her that her transmission was going bad so they fixed that s*** and then they said the timing belt broke, me and my friend have worked on her car and it was fine, they screwd her out of thousands of dollars and in the end the car broke down a week after the repairs and it sitting in that damn vw dealer for weeks now and we've contacted the BBB and they did nothing!!!!

Wow, that is quite the oposite to my experiences with the BBB. I have seen lemon laws and buy backs happen through the BBB with little to no issues. Maybe it is how you handle it with the BBB then that makes it smoother. I dont know. Even by filing a complaint with the BBB they HAVE to investigate it and it goes on the companys record. If/when people investigate a company through the BBB (which everyone should be doing especially with service companys for you car or house) you will see those complaints or charges against them. I think you would be surprised how messed up some companys that you have used or regularly use are and will not use them any more.

On another note, do yourself the favor to find out how much that part cost. If it is below $45 then I wouldnt bother doing anything but letting them know what they did and that you will not be using their service ever again and will never recommend them to anyone. By them hiding it alone would mean they are not worth doing business with again, period.
