timing isues!!!!! HELP!!!!!

alright so I changed the timing belt and the tensioner kit. Everything is perfect except for the fact that when i go to turn the motor a full 720 degrees the belt starts to slide off. I already retightened the tensioner and the same thing happens. i am stumped with this.

Any input is great... thanks

hmmm... good question...

where is it sliding off?
that sh!t should be tight

i beleive its starting to slide off at the tensioner because the belt starts coming off more at the intake cam.

i did and found nothing on that problem.

im stumped too
took my timing belt off several times... if anything i had a hard time getting it on because it was too tight not loose

even thought the tensioner is supposed to be tight it will still not stay in place with all that tension on the belt. I hope i dont have a faulty tensioner. the thing is brand new.

You sure everything is where it's supposed to be? Take off the belt and start over. The tensioner is probably no tightened properly or it's on wrong somehow.

sorry for such a late reply but it was the tensioner. The bearing was not seated properly in the tensioner causing the belt to slip off. I just replaced the tensioner. everything is perfect. thanks guys.
