Timing chain went - blown motor - other choices in replacement?

I'm wondering if I have to replace with the same motor. It was very hard on gas. Are there any other motors that will fit? Thanks very much in advance, Jennifer

Hi Jennifer. How many miles did you have on her? Did the car vibrate on start up prior to the chain snapping? Any warning indicators?

The motor had more than 200k on it, I don't remember the exact mileage. Yes, there were warning signs. We stupidly thought we had a bit more time. I'm just wondering if any other motors will fit. Maybe a Ford?
