Timing Belt Tensioner Bolt Torque

Does anyone know the bolt torque specifications for the timing belt tensioner bolt AND idler pulley bolt? If I tighten the tensioner "good and tight" it won't pivot. If I loosen it so that it will pivot, it seems too loose. It's a new tensioner.

I did not find the specs in the service manual and can not find them by searching old threads.

Anyone know?

Thanks;)

27 to 38 foot pounds - both pulleys - on the '96 626 2.0 liter. Sounds about right for the P5 too I'd guess? It was also a pivoting tensioner.

That's accurate. I did find it in the service manual: 28 to 38 lb-ft for both the idler and the tensioner.

Same issue here. Did 28-38 work for you? Mine still binds up.
