Time for a new block, 30PSI + stock short block = hole, Anybody get super duper deals

Well yesterday I was going to drop my car off at my friend/fabricators house to do various work pre-NOPI show including meth injection etc. Like an idiot I was driving around with the cutout open but I'd been modulating boost with my throttle. NOT SMART. I came up to a light (1 block from my friends house) and there was a motorcycle, the light turns green, I drop the hammer in 1st and BOOM, smoke, oil light comes on etc. Looked at boost gauge - 30 PSI.
There's chunks of motor all over the cool drip pan.
I've gotten a price from $2728 so far + tax and shipping. I've got room on some cards and some cash, haven't told the wifey yet so depending on how much trouble I'm in I may have to sell the turbo kit, custom IC, etc. I already have an XEDE for sale.
Depending on timeline I should have a new motor (shortblock) installed within 2 weeks.

Wish me luck and let me know if you can get me a super duper deal on a short block, I'll buy one this Friday.
A salvage complete motor will work for that price too, if you can find one!!!

Yes, it will work with most cars.

I would say diamonds work well (shiny objects in general) - but then again blowing a grand on jewelery cause you want to tell her you are about to blow 5 grand on the car you blew up may backfire

I did what I did and I'll pay for it. It was only because the cutout was open that it happened, I'll get it back on the road trust me.
As long as I put the money back eventually I'll stay out of hot water.

I was told that piggy back systems wouldn't work with the speed6. I guess the speed6 has some type of adaptive ECU so anything you program into it gets "erased" after about 100 miles.

his was a stock block mazdaspeed 6?
THis might help people int he future cause we know the block now wont handle 30 psi.

Mine is a stock block MS6 with an upgraded turbo, IC and cutout.

General info - I have seen the write ups on these xede setups for the speed3 and 6. I was just wondering if you knew anything about it. I was at a meet this past weekend talking to a guy about his speed6 and he told me that any piggy back systems wouldn't work. I was just looking for your opinion.
