Alright...i'm thread happy today.....on feb 12th i have an appointment to get my windows tinted.....i was thinking either 20% or 35%.....does anyone on here have either one of those tints on their speeds? if sooooooo can you attach photos so i can see the differences....OR if anyone has suggestions on what percentage to get i would greatly appreciate it. I just don't want it to be too difficult to see out of the side windows......

btw cosmic blue, AND feb 12th is my 21st (drinks)

35% is too light IMO and 20% is too dark.

If i had to choose (and i like uniform, not diff % tints on front and back) I would go with 28% tint all around.

Im getting 20% on my CB. I had 20% (registered at 16%) on my Audi and I LOVED it! My gf has 35% on her car. If you had a black car, I'd say 35 just so it's not all "night-rider-ish" but for CB, I'd def go with 20. Although dont do it if it is illegal in PA and you may have to roll down your back windows to back up at night...

I'm not in a Speed, but, i've got both tints. I've got 35% in my Laser Blue Pro5. I think it's a tish too light, but, it came in the car. My wife's white Pro5 is running 15% all around and IT IS DARK! It does make backing up at night rather difficult. If you can get between those two percentages, i'd highly recomend it!

Also, HBG, that stand for Harrrisburg? I'll be up there for a friends wedding in May. Won't have any Mazda's though, unless I can rent a 3. That'd be nice!!

i got limo(5%) all the way around in the rear and 15% in the front as well as a strip along the top of my front window. its nice nobody can tell whos driving you see only shadows of figures. lowers inside car temp on hot summer days alot too

i have 35, and it is too light, but its the legal limit here..

and i agree, 20 is too dark...

I have 16% on my i think, it aint black but it matches nicely with my black car

It depends on what the state legal limit is. In PA, how often do you have to get the car inspected? If you get darker than legal, they may have you get it checked at a police station and then removed which means you won't pass inspection until you get cleared. That's the way it was in MD and I had literally had the tint on for like three days. That sucked.

I have the same color as you and I have the 20%. I live in FL though so it's not a biggie to the cops. If you can swing it, that's my vote. Sorry I don't have any pics..maybe I can borrow my roommates camera and post later.

I have 20% all around. Sorry for the bad pic as it was for the gauges and not the tint so much. I have no issues seeing out at night and I think 20% is perfect. 35% would just be too light.

well i work @ a dealership and got mine discounted, ended up being $130 for 5% all around except for the front windshield, i'd guess anywhere from 200-250$

Im getting 35%. The only reason is because if I go to dark i will get pulled over. My suggestion to you is basically if there is no law on tints then do 5%, if there is a law just do the legal tint. It sucks to have your tint cut.

I've got 35% 3M Black Chrome. On my Black Mica, it looks great. Looks a lot darker from the outside looking in, but much lighter the other way around. Supposedly blocks ~%50 of heat, where as the regular 3M film was something like 20%. Doesn't look like the cheesy "mirror" tint, but more like what a pane of clean glass looks like at an angle. From certain points, it looks like the side windows and the windshield match. Paid out the nose for it though, $250, but I've been a fan of the 3M film since I had it on my RX-8 (which was the plain 35%).
