Car looks awesome! Subbing for moar! It just looks natural out there with all the cones surrounding it!

I'm into action car photography as well (on an extreme DSLR budget). Mind sharing equipment info and any tips/tricks?

Thanks, the pics I posted mostly aren't mine. haha they use like 5D or something like that with a 70-200mm. Post #42 is from me, though. I use a XTi with stock 28-135mm lens from 40d.

Haha...jeez man you didn't "lose" to me. Well, I guess sort of, but that isn't the point. Two four door Mazdas, one old and one new, right at the pointy end of the class. You guys surprised a lot of people. Jinx told me after the event that he had no idea until the awards ceremony that you guys were right there. Next year is going to be awesome, but we are both going to have to push hard. There are quite a few people who will be stepping up their game to try and get in front of us.

Jinx didn't even care, all he cared was Fauth! I am gonna show him up next year! LOL. Yeah, dude, I lost to you, I wonder what if I didn't spin on my last run, how much faster could I go... that'd be interesting. Congrats to you, again!

Without the slide on the last run I think you would've had me covered. I was extremely lucky to end up in third after being behind on Day 1. You were a tenth in front after the first day and running very close to my times on Day 2. I was pretty nervous going into 3rd runs on Wednesday with you guys so close.

I was super nervous on day 1... I had 2 dirty runs and I needed my last run to be clean. We were off the pace on the dirty runs, I somehow pulled through on my last run clean and good for fourth. When me and my bro gone out for our first 2 runs, we thought "CRAP, we are so off the pace, this is unreal!" hahaha. You drove great, that car moves good in transition, the turn in is awesome. I wish my car can do that but it'd be hard for a car at this weight. I need to lose weight. lol

Went to the region's SCCA banquet tonight... they messed up my name on the jacket... -_-

Have a "Divisional" in our region this weekend. Counts as the Norpac championship.

Today was super wet and cold, raining all day long, non stop. Around low 40's and rain just made it worse. Glad that I brought extra clothes.

Ran on Hoosier Wets for the first time, 245's front & 225's rear on my SSR's 9.5".

My bro beat me today on his last run, by .164. Watching the vids, he drove a lot smoother and took better lines in few corners... I was a little too tight to avoid dirty lines.

Tomorrow MIGHT be dry, will see, I don't mind running in the wet given this result from today.

New suspension worked great on dry and Hoosiers. Some of the bumps on course were pretty nasty at speed and ****** up my fender. It ate the flared part in and buckled up under the wheel well, didn't get to take a pic of it cause my friend was like wtf! and bare handed it and pulled it out. You can see in the vids the fender moves around the 29-31 part in the slalom... it didn't do that on the run before the incident. Time to look for fender flares and cut up these eBay s***.

Beat my bro by .8 today... caught up the deficit from yesterday.

Videos from day 2.

I am in need for some fender flares, just wondering if anyone wants them, too. I am getting these made by a local shop, my buddy got his full set done for his Subaru (see pics below for reference). They did a fantastic job, IMO.

Since I have a MS3 here, I can bring it in and see what they can do.

I am not going to be getting rears done but if there are enough interest, I can have them made for the car.

Price is gonna be looking at in the range of $320-$350 for the fronts.

Some pics of some flares made for other cars for test fitting.

This is what they did for my buddy's Subaru. More are being made right now for other gen STi's, etc.
