I've been driving our new 2012 CX-9 GT AWD around the past few days during various Winter conditions (snow, blizzard, slush, ice). I wanted to say that I am impressed with the combo of AWD with Winter Tires. I had some reservations buying the Goodyears as in general they are rated below the Michelin X-ice 2/3 and Blizzaks but after running around on them under many different conditions I am impressed and happy I saved some coin going with the Ultragrip WRTs.
I know it's not an apples to apples comparison but the car I am coming from is a Subaru Tribeca running the Xice2s and I think the CX-9 with Ultragrips drives better.
My setup is:
2012 CX-9 AWD GT
CX-7 factory 18" Alloy Wheels
Goodyear Ultragrip WRT Ice (for passenger/CUV)
Safe driving to all of you this Winter!
