throttle body spacer

with A/C on, idle stays near 550. I had my OBDII reader plugged in showing me the idle speed. Idle goes back to 850 after i turn A/C off

It's constant at 550 or it bounces a lot?

Doesn't seem like too much of a problem... I don't use my A/C unless its raining out and my windows get fogged anyways. It's not cold at all lol

yea i only use A/C when the kids are in the car, but just didnt think idling at 550 was good. car vibes alot

i just cleaned the egr, throttle body and maf sensor and idle is still funny

ya... I'm not sure man. If you remove the throttle body spacer, do all these problems go away? If so and you want a daily driver for kids and such, maybe you should just remove it...

was still having idle issues before the spacer, just didnt notice what it was at with A/C on

i figured out how to adjust the cable. i adjusted it so that the throttle plate was completely closed, however the car would not idle. I would start the car and it would stall out immediately. I adjusted the TAS screw a little bit to open they plate and now it will idle. Is the plate suppose to be completely closed? What i've read across the internet says the plate should be open just a little bit at idle

you should NEVER adjust the TAS screw, ONLY the AAS screw... that's why your idle is still ****** up, or you have a vacuum leak

i know about the TAS screw. i had adjusted it before and was just trying to get it back to where it was suppose to be. i did adjust the AAS as well using the TEN and GND trick but that didnt do anything

you can't get it back where it's supposed to be, that's why it's a big no no to touch it

the TAS is preset from the factory after they flow test the throttle body in order to calibrate the correct amount of airflow past the throttle plate when it is closed... messing with it will **** that up and the result is that weird idling problem you have

the only way to fix it after you touched this is to get another throttle body
keep your original as a trophy or sell it to someone who wants to bore it out

yea i realized i may have to get another untouched throttle body. i adjusted the idle a bit more and it seems alot more stable now. not sure if it will stay like that but its better. I did notice tho that when the A/C and fan is on that is when the idle gets low around 550. When the fan turns off, the idle jumps up to between 700-750

your idle is still way out of adjustment

you should've followed the instructions to begin with and adjusted the throttle cable instead of being in this mess now
