Not bad pictures for a point and shoot. simple appearance things like washing the car might help. I'm not a fan of door moldings so thats a real easy one too or paint the breaks and or badges. New wheels or powder coat the stockers, it all depends on what you want to do with your car. At least you started with the best color.

Nice pictures...suggestions:

- Invest in tripod.
- Don't use the flash...use a longer exposure
- Use the lowest ISO possible (if your camera allows you to change that)
- When using a tripod and longer exposure, use the self-timer to eliminate blur from the movement of the camera when you press the shutter
- Don't take pictures into the sun
- Make sure your lens is clean when you take a picture...looks like there may be a smudge on the left side of the lens (blur that doesn't appear to be caused by aperture on the 6th pic)

yes my mirror is cracked

. I just spent some money today on a new camera a Nikon d60 I also bought a tripod to go with it! Im really excited to use it! I just need to learn about the whole ISO and what not. its been 3 years since my photography class..

any idea/tips where I can learn about my camera and how to utilize certain things?

Check out some books at the library...or pick up a couple at Barnes and Noble.

Basically, ISO is like film speed...the higher the speed, the less light is necessary, but the picture will be less clear (will be grainy). I shoot at ISO 100 whenever possible...if not, then the absolute lowest ISO I can use in that situation. Less grain = more clear picture.

Shoot in RAW mode....much easier to post edit

Take time to compose your shots.

I have a book called "Complete Guild to Ultimate Digital Photo Quality" by Derek Doeffinger. I would try to find that - it has a lot of great info about getting very high quality pictures with your camera.

ugh...this doesn't work when you have a mr. and mrs. slowsky computer like mine. i love the idea of RAW, but my dinosaur makes it seem like im trying to watch streaming porn on a dialup.

i have a nikon d80 (outdated now). invest in a good flash and a nice telephoto or any zoom lens and you can get some great shots with blurry background (perfect for shooting your car).
and a great editting program can really make your pictures outstanding.

oh yea and there's a forum out there for pretty much anything so i'd look that up too
