Those who have had their cylinder head fixed/replaced, how is your Mazda now/after?

I just had my Mazda’s cylinder head replaced due to it being cracked. I was wondering if anyone has a similar issue as I'm trying to decide whether or not I should trade the car in now.

Well...your car now has a better cylinder head than when it originally left the factory. And, it's a poor time to go car shopping; supply chain problems still crimp inventory.

How do you know that it's a better cylinder head than when it left the factory?

Replaced, good as new as far as I can tell

The part was redesigned in 2021 to address this issue. You should be fine now.

Better to own it now than before. If you like the vehicle, best to keep it a while.

2018 Mazda cx9 GT....At 68,489 miles head and block replaced by Mazda and my dealer. I just went over the 100,000 mile mark today....so i have over 31,000 miles on new engine. I too contemplated getting rid of it after new engine install....glad i kept it. It runs strong and i love driving it...
