thinking of going rotor

sure, no probs man. this is an old picture. I now have Work mesh-type rims (black powder coat w/silver polished lip), and I have a 99 spec rear and am waiting on the 99 spec front end to come in . . . polyurethane is much better than fiberglass i'll gladly take the 99 spec over the c-west or wise sports fronts . . . gonna start a flame war with that one!)

for more info, the best place is www.rx7club.com they cover all 3 gens VERY well. any technical help you need, you'll find. plus their classifieds are so well done and the members are so well connected that many of the cars on the forum have reviews by people who have seen/ridden/worked on them and full critiques of the right price and what the car needs.

another board is www.nopistons.com this caters more towards the ricer crowd, but still has some good info.

good luck

Wow! You are calling No Pistons a "Ricer Forum". Its gen specific forums are great. As well as its engine building forum with a renouned engine builder or I should say a few well know builders in there to give pointers and tips.

The performance Mod section has nothing but discussions about viable mods to get the most out of your rotary car.

The Single Turbo section has been one of my favorite sections on No Pistons it is loaded with tons of info and tuning tips fromm some of the best tuners I have ever come across. You know the ones that arent blowing engines every week.

I am a Moderator with no pistons and consider my car to be the epitome of what our forum is about. Honestly if we smell a ricer, we chase them away.

BTW- You might want to tear down your tranny 30% drivetrain loss on the dyno = big problems.

not to start the inevitable flame war, but i did not say it was a bad forum, but if you look at many of the posts, especially compared to the club, more immature people start flame wars, play the "well my friend . . . ." game, and have an overall lack of experience than the posters at the club. don't get me wrong, rx7club has it's problems with that too, but nowhere near as bad as the no pistons board.

And of course you're not going to like my opinion about no piston's . . . you essentially work for them!! It's like saying you don't like pepsi and prefer coke because it tastes better and have a pepsi rep. try to make a counter argument. Posts are always opninions, and i gave mine.

As for the 30% drivetrain loss, we figured it to be accurate because (1) I had a badly slipping clutch, (2) a transmission bolt and a shifter bolt snapped so i was getting wicked vibration that was in essence wasted power that would normally be put to the ground, and (3) there was no enough airflow over my intake and v-mount setup. On the street going that fast there is a whole lotta air being forced/sucked into the nose of a car, especially when you consider the low pressure areas created under the hood and floorpan, so the suction effect was not there, nor was the mear pressence of moving air (the fan was pretty bad, as most dyno fans are compared to normal driving). My intake and water temps were MUCH higher than I see on the street.

Again, that's an opinion that has been supported by mechanics I trust for the conditions, and, as always, it's hard to messure the parasidic loss of the drivetrain. I now have a pucked clutch and new bolts and an engine dampener, so i'm going to redyno her and see how she does now.

Thanks for playing,
chris

I can do this all day long. I looked around NoPistons and I am trying to see where we are overrun with ricers. I just dont see it.

We just had a new member sign up and claim he has a 93 Touring type R. Guess what? I dont think he will be posting in NP anymore. LOL!

With members like Judge Ito and Pettitman what else could we need.

Now excuse me while I go do my sleepy headlight mod...........
