i test drove the XB on saturday and i really like it and its only 15,000 i figure thats really cheap for a brand new car and its the 05's so, i just wanted to get yalls opinions on the car. consumer reports marks it as one of thier recomended cars and i suppose thats a good thing. oh and i am selling the P5 to carmax they say they will inspect it and give you a check that day for what they think its worth do yall think that is a good idea? any opinions will be aprecieated thanks

I personally like the xB. I have been a fan of the box style in Japan for awhile, and the inside of the xB is wonderful. I just started laughing when I sat in it from all the room and how open it feels. Good upgrade support starting up from the dealer and moving to aftermarket companies now.
But I wouldn't give up the P5 for the xB, I would think maybe to a tC but still love the P5 to much. Never delt with carmax but it is worth a shot, see what they give you for it. Did you try the dealer as a trade in? Keep options open never know who will give more.

yes i love the room in the XB as well im 6'4 and have TONS of room inside the XB.
and the dealer actually suggested for me to take my car to carmax and i figure they will give me around 12 for it they say its ussually around blue book so i hope to get around 12 for it has less than 30,000 miles on it
and ive had the P5 for a year now my first car and well i just LOVE the XB's

Thats cool, I mean go with what you like. The Scions appear to be good cars they are practically Toyotas so they should last a long time. And your right there is huge amounts of room, people need to sit in it to understand it.
I hated the xA though, that was a small car all around. Plus the gauge cluster sits in the middle where as the xB is kinda of angle toward you. Overall its either xB or tC for me.

The xB and xA both got low ratings as far as how they drive in the long run. I wouldn't bother with scion unless you get the TC...plus you should think of resale value..

A friend of mine has an xB and its a decent car. Its more of a passenger oriented car, more places to put stuff, a power door lock for the front passenger door, etc. I really like that its a car that actually has less stock HP that the P5, being a driver-oriented car...the driver doesn't even get an oh-s*** bar :) But its cool that is has a warranty that lasts longer than the financing plan. Good solid choice for a car, much better than the echo that preceded it.

Ive heard some pretty good things about the XB's from some of the customers that service their nissans with us. They have then as a second car..wouldnt trade it for the world. One of the guys I was talking to said it was a great car at a good price. Hes happy with it.

well i thank you all for your response the only problem i would have is picking a color for the thing the dealer ill probally buy from has like 5 of each color so yeah im thinking the maroon color

Scion's are great, my sister bought an xA, and I want a tC when the supercharged version comes out.

But is loosing a P5 to get a XB worth it...in terms of driver satisfaction? Do the Scions have any decent performance potential? I like the XB and would maybe buy one if I just needed a practical ride or grocery getter...Nahhh...I still try to get something with performance potential...Scions are easy buys...hope it's a fun ride!
