thinking about buying a brand new left over 2007 cx7

Hi found a great deal on one left over 2007 CX-7 sport. Its a 2007 CWP CX7 sport with awd and that got it for 21,985$$$ brand new. I was wondering what are things i need to look out for. I,ve been doing some research and problems can be a tranny needing reflashing??? I just wondering what can be some other problems.Problems with turbo. i know with the speed 3 some have bad seal with the turbo which causes the car to emit out blue smoke...has that happend also to the cx-7. I would like to know asap since i will be picking her up by the end of this week. thank you!
Also my concern is the transfer case how does that hold up???

In addition to killers comment, get the Vin # and then do the search on TSBs.

The transfer case on mine has been a joke. I've also talked with 4 other people that have had their transfer case seals replaced at minimum once, some of them two, three, four times.

I'm just happy mine is a lease... I'll walk away from this ticking time bomb in December. I will feel sorry for whoever owns it after me though.

The transfer case seal problem sounds like a shaft problem. When new seals repetly fail, then the shaft it rides on is probably damaged or rough. I have not heard of transfer case problems with other than the first build. Late Vin # cars have not had problems, at least to my knowledge.

You may be right, but they're unwilling to investigate further. Like I said, just glad its a lease.

VIN: JM3ER293070146064 This is the vin# to the car i want to buy can anyone tell if its a late or early model built??? thanks!

This is before my wife's build date in April 07, but not sure how much earlier? Why not just check yourself or ask the salesman to check? The build date is posted on the VIN label inside the driver's door. A new 07 is most likely gonna be a later build just by simple logic that it's still around unsold.

Sounds like a good deal, but I'm hoping you took depreciation into account!

Carefully consider your options for your sound system. Tons of info on these boards. Lack of interface with iPod seems to be the biggest issue.

Also confirm if that vehicle has the upgraded gas cap & filler neck. Both were huge problems in early releases that caused CEL.
