Things to do to my 2010 Mazda 3s?

I'm new so i thought i'd post a thread..
So i just got a 2010 Mazda 3s 2.5Lfor a graduation present! I used to own a '01 Celica GT-S before this so i'm new to the mazda family. I'm looking for things to do to my 3. I had a body kit, exhaust, 30% tint, JL sub and amp and a carbon fiber hood on my celica. I'm sad to part with it, but i can drive my new car in the winter! =]
I'm a little disappointed on it's acceleration though, any suggestions?
I don't want to do anything that would void the warrenty.
For for now i just put a sub and amp in it.( i missed the bass..)
I was thinking exhaust or cold air intake next, but i wasn't sure if i'd void the warrenty.

Congrats - that's quite a graduation gift! Damn...

I'd get used to the power that it has; learn the power band and make the best of it. You aren't going to substantially change the power without FI. I came from a 220 hp V6 prior to the 3 so I understand the adjustment, but it can be done :)

Really going from the GT-S to the 3 you're losing 13hp but gaining a bunch of torque. You don't get that sudden bump in hp north of 6k like you do on the 2ZZ engine so if you're used to feeling that rush it'll feel slow. But in most situations (aside from flat-out acceleration) torque is more usable anyway.

haha thank you.. i had to sell my celica 3 months prior to graduation to put a down payment on a college apartment, so i guess it's sort of a give back? ha

well i'll keep working with it and get adjusted. :)
would you happen to know if i did decide to add cold air intake or exhaust if it'd void the warrenty?

too bad you had to sell the celica, i had one too before i got the speed3. intake and exhaust with make the car more fun, but u know from the celica world that nothin really happens without a build and tune or FI.

Congrats on your grad present!

Intake/exhaust should not void your warranty....UNLESS the dealer can prove that either were repsonsible for the damage. Keep your stock parts and swap them back should you have to go back to the dealer for warranty work.

yea it was my baby, but it had to be done.
but if i did any of that it would void the warrenty, which sucks.

Exhaust especially should not void your warranty. Intake is marginally more likely to void a warranty claim (for engine failure, for instance) because they could argue that the intake messed with factory AFRs, allowed more particulate matter into the engine, etc.

If you want to cover yourself, you could either keep your stock parts as suggested by CTt3P5, or take a trip to your local dealer and tell them you're considering installing these parts and get them to sign off on whether they'd void your warranty or not.

I installed intake, header, exhaust, suspension, wheels, sts, etc. on my '02 Protege while it was under warranty and never had my warranty voided. Then again, I never tried to make a major warranty claim.
