The "Spicy Saloon" MSP build thread

Thanks guys.

So I got stuck in a flood, took a wrong turn and ended up in knee high water. A couple times the water was coming over my hood and splitting on my windshield. I got out as fast as I could but it did some damage. Front bumper tore part off, splitter gone, front plate gone, fender liners ripped out. Somehow buckled both my rear fenders and destroyed the paint on one. My one headlight had a fair amount of water in it. I thought I felt the motor bog a couple of times but everything's okay, it's just visual stuff. I'll be back :)

This thread makes me want a spicy so bad but the only one in my area is both over priced and it has a history with many owners and a nasty electrical issue that took it off teh road for 3 years. Not only that but they want 6k for it. uh.

Damn man that is unfortunate. I hope the repairs go smoothly. Personally I think the cars look weird missing the rear lip, especially with the skirts and front lip installed.

Throwback to when it was sorta clean for 2 full weeks lol

How's the flood repair going?

She's doing okay now, in one piece mostly. I keep finding more small damage but it's small stuff. I still have to reshape the rear fenders and re paint the one, again. New splitter needs to go on, headlights have to be opened and cleaned of all the s*** the water brought, and I need to make or find new fender liners. Not bad! I just need to find the time to work on it. Hopefully I can get to everything I've been putting off this winter :D

I've come to the conclusion that MSP front brake calipers are garbage. I said I solved my brake issues, but I lied lol. Had enough of that so I upgraded to ford fusion parts, I was hoping the fusion would be more cost effective than mazda 6 parts, that may not have worked out but I'm pretty stoked on them. The calipers aren't special but they're fairly clean looking stock style, & the rotors are an inch bigger than stock.

They bolt right on with no mods. The pads sit at the top edge on these rotors, so there is a pretty large ring that could corrode.

So I coated the ring, and the slots too.

Shouts to Cres from CR3 for all the infos on his setup and for being a proper gent.

They feel awesome. Solid and confident feeling. Stopping power is considerably better, and they don't lock up under full braking. Overall stoked on them.

And the yellow turd is finally not yellow
