Notice how he went off the track at first, overcorrected, and went into a slide. Perhaps at those speeds there isn't a way not to overcorrect.

Considering how sensitive the steering is even at highway speeds, that's probably not far from the truth. I wonder how much seat time he had in the car before this incident...
