Just got approved to design a autoX course this year for the NWOR SCCA. Probably won't be for the Corey Invitational though

Finally got a chance to watch it. Still not regretting my purchase.
You can find a junk yard Fusion motor, swap valve covers, front timing cover and the sensors/harness over for about a grand. A new motor can cost 3k though. Would the car be worth 6k when running?

Don't you have an Escape? How much gear does one little kid need?
I had no problem bringing an upright acoustic bass, bass guitar, 3x10" bass cabinet and head and the rest of my gear in my P5 without needing to remove any seats. I'm not sure why people think "Welp, I had a kid. Better buy a the biggest car I can afford...". Shoot, my mum had a Dodge Shadow with 3 kids and plenty of family vacation in that thing.

I was told its not worth it as you can buy a blown ms6 for that and be worth way more when fixed. found a 2005 mazda 6s 5-speed in medina for $4500 with 135k miles on it.

lol, There's more to it than that, but the Escape has decent cargo space and it's great when you can fold down half the rear seats. That works with one kid but with a second on the way that will make it a little harder. Really the biggest thing with kids, especially when they are infants are their seats and how much space they take up. The other major factor is do I want to spend my max budget? That car didn't make me want to do that either. It's a great car but not the one for me.
Can you trade your kids in for basses then?
Just kidding, buddy. I guess I can't really talk since I have zero experience with kids whatsoever.
Can't trade them, but I think you can train them to convince the wife that money needs to be spent on car parts. At least I'm working on that.
